Alucard
alias: None
age: 5 years
gender: Brute
breed(s): Doberman Pincher
height: 28 inches
weight: 100 pounds
physical: Standing at 28 inches, and weighing 100 pounds of hard muscle, Alucard looks like the type of dog you wouldn't want to cross on any day. His rust red coat, with its lighter tan patches at his chest, legs, and muzzle seem to throw many off, as most Doberman's come in black and tan. He's not to fond of the attention the coloration gets him, rather he would have liked to have been born like his litter mates, with their black and tan colorations. As is accustom to his breed, his ears are cropped and his tail is docked, both done when he was very young, thus he doesn't remember a time not looking as he does. His orbs are a soft, honey brown, like light syrup.
Long legs, powerful muscles, wedged shaped head, and a barrel-like chest. Alucard would have made a beautiful show dog, . . . . that is of, course, if he didn't enjoy his life of a free dog so much. There isn't much fat on this beast, as whatever food he can get, goes straight to converting it to energy so that he can protect those closest to him or finding more food.
As far as defects are involved, Alucard doesn't really have birth defects, more scars and after birth defects. He is actually missing both dew claws from his front paws, a result of a hard life. He has the scars from where they were torn from his body during a fight over his Lady. On his muzzle, there are five small pink scars that are barely visible, unless you are right in his face; the result of his puppy hood when he met his first cat. More scars are hidden under his soft, short pelt.
character: There are many words that could be best used to describe Alucard . . . Protector could be one. His Lady is his number one priority, no matter what his duty is. He will; however, protect those who are weaker then him, wither by order from his Lady, or by his own free will. A dark knight, if you will, Alucard could be . . . If he didn't have a temper to back up that sweet, protective outside.
Famous for his drop-of-a-hat temper, Alucard often turns on those closest to him if angered. He doesn't handle emotions well, so he turns it into anger very quickly and can often go from being calm and collected to down right scary and deadly. However, there is only one dog . . . or should I say bitch, that is safe from his temper; his Lady.
Intelligent. Alucard is very intelligent, though as stated above, his temper sometimes causes him to do stupid things. The ability to think, talk, confuse, and process are at his beck and call. He doesn't believe in stupid questions, thus he only speaks when either spoken to, at which point it is only one or two word sentences, maybe a long sentence at best, or if he has something VERY important to say. Never one to go against his Lady's wishes, he lives to serve this bitch, no matter the order or demand.
Willing servant. This one only applies, of course, to his Lady. His heart would belong to this bitch, no strings attached, no fast balls, nothing. He would be hers to order as she saw fit and use whenever. Loving and gentle, he would be with his little female, something unseen by dogs of either his pack or the street. He would die for his Lady . . . . if he ever found her.
Unwilling leader. He is good at something he doesn't want to do. As usual, his temper always knocks him down a peg, but even if he doesn't apologize for his actions when angered, that doesn't mean he doesn't try to do something to make it up. Smart, strong, and big, he makes the perfect leader . . . . at least a stand-in to serve as a decoy in case of possibly death to the Alpha. He doesn't mind standing in, to protect the Alpha, or Alphess, but he will never willing step up to claim an Alpha position.
history: Alucard was born, actually the oldest of five whelps. As soon as his eyes opened, he was a wildfire; always getting into trouble, always out-going and never sitting down for less than two seconds. His siblings, all male safe one, grew up around him, so he never thought about being alone in life. His mother, Gaia, and father, Sarge, were pure bred Dobermen, having been lucky to keep their bloodline as strong as it was, for as long as they had. Both were black and tan Dobermen, as were all his siblings, including the runt of the litter and only female, Kveld.
As the months flew by, Alucard started showing signs of developing his protecting personality as Kveld got bigger and older. He was always around his little sister, watching out for her, while he only played rough with the males. It was almost like the oldest pup had picked his favorite and refused to share. Gaia and Sarge became worried when Alucard actually attacked one of his younger brother when the pup had been found wrestling with Kveld. After that day, Alucard wasn't allowed to play so rough with the pups, nor was he allowed to be around Kveld alone.
When Alucard was punished for hurting his younger brother, Carth, that was the day that Sarge took his aside and became teaching him the way to fully protect someone. The older Dobby taught his oldest everything he knew about protecting, showing him ways of attacking that would bring another dog down fast, and give his Lady a chance to flee. Sarge taught him to respect bitches, even informing the young Dobby how he would find his one true Lady, as Sarge had found with Gaia. Of course, Alucard paid very close attention and when he turned a year old, his bond with his family was tested.
A couple months after attacking Carth, training with his sire, and slowly losing the strong bond with Kveld, Alucard had grown from a aggressive pup into a yearling that could barely walk and talk at the same time, without tripping over the legs he had yet to grow into. Gaia had given out the news that she would be having another litter of pups and that it would soon be time for her first litter to leave their home and venture out to find their own place in life. Of course, with his sire's teaching, Alucard was more than ready to see the world.
So, with his siblings going off in different directions, he ventured off. It didn't take long for Alucard to find himself walking with Kveld, who had branched off from the path her sire had given her and joined her older brother. As the two walked, they came upon a dog bullying another dog that was laying, whimpering, on the ground. Of course, Alucard stepped in, still to young to realize that the two were mates and that the dog had thought himself in the right to punish his mate for failing to bring home food that was hard to find in the first place. The fight was short, mainly cause the dog had been smalled than the one year old Dobby, leaving his mate behind.
After calming down the bitch, Kveld found out that her name was Shirah. To Alucard, she was beautiful, and the first bitch he had seen, that wasn't blood. Shirah was a red merle Australian Shepherd, with big orbs, that looked up at Alucard like a plea to protect her. He thought he had been in love, actually considering calling her his Lady, but he remembered what Sarge had said, about how his blood-line of Doberman were dogs of their word; their word being their bond. Better to be one-hundred and fifty percent sure, than tie himself to the wrong bitch. It was a good thing he waited about calling Shirah his Lady.
Two weeks after Alucard turned two, Shirah left him and Kveld, leaving him for her old mate. The dog had been following them and watching, as Shirah worked her magic around the two Dobermen. It was the last time Alucard allowed himself to open up with any other bitch, other than his sister. It was during this time that Kveld left, branching off from Alucard and following her own path. Alucard was sure he would never see his sister again, as he would never see his family again. At two years old, Alucard was truly alone for the first time in his life.
Losing his sister and almost-Lady in the same year took a toll on Alucard. He became aggressive once more. Fighting, killing, and bloodshed became his life. And for nearly three years, he fought for a living. He challenged dogs to fight for food, bitches, and land. Of course, the land and bitches he set free, the only kindness he showed, but the food he took, a lot of times, along with the dog's, he had been fighting, life.
It wasn't until he turned six that he started to slow down, the instinct to settle down, have pups, and live out the remainder of his life with his own Lady hit him. Now, this six year old, battle-scarred, Doberman is simply looking for a home . . . A family . . . . and a love.
